The history of Champagne CH. de L'AUCHE is also the history of the Maison des Vignerons de Germigny, Janvry, Rosnay, founded in Janvry in 1961.

The adventure began when 7 independent winegrowers decided to join forces and pool resources to buy a Dollat press together, which is still in use today.

Soon, vintners who shared the same values and passion as the founders joined the group. Together, they were bold enough to create a range of Blanc de Noirs Champagnes from their vineyards that are mostly planted with Pinot Meunier.

Established in Janvry, 15km west of Reims in a place known as "L'Auche", they naturally chose this name for their Champagne. Today, with 110 hectares spread over 40 vineyards, including some classified as Premier Cru, CH. de L'AUCHE Champagne relies on the tireless labour of 60 winegrowers who, day in, day out, tend their vines to obtain the highest quality grapes in order to craft great Champagnes.

Champagne CH. de LAUCHE - Brut Slection

Brut de l'Auche - Blanc de Noirs - Ch. de l'Auche

Origin :
AOP CHAMPAGNE

Grape Variety :
80% Pinot Meunier; 20% Pinot Noir

Tasting :
EYE : golden robe and is crowned with a thin stream of tiny bubbles.
NOSE : Beautifully aromatic and very open with the generous, juicy scents of pear and apricot. Its expression also reveals depth, with aromas of cellar-matured wine such as hazelnut and bread. After a few minutes in the glass, notes of praline and candied fruit emerge.
PALATE : The taste is full and comfortable before the wine takes on a fullbodied dimension. The mouth is full, warm and aromatic with a very seductive sweet/acidic balance. The aromas in the mouth suggest nougat and the texture is creamy. The whole is dynamic with remarkable effervescence. Great complexity between its young aromas and those that developed as it aged in our cellars.

Pairing Suggestions :
The generosity and  aromatic complexity of this cuvée are an advantage for gastronomic pairings. More “Earth” than “Sea”, it suggests sweet and savoury dishes of white meat or poultry, the finest, most tender delicacies (foie gras, sweetbread…) or creamy, mature cheese. Mushrooms make an ideal companion. It is also very at home as an aperitif with sweet and savoury petits fours

Cuve du Chapitre - Champagne CH. de LAUCHE Cuvée du Chapitre - Ch. de l'Auche

Origin :
AOP CHAMPAGNE

Grape Variety :
100% Pinot Meunier

Tasting Notes :
EYE : Sparkling and indulgently golden, the Cuvée du Chapitre presents a beautiful, luminous and tempting robe as well as marvellous effervescence.
NOSE : The initial, elegant and seductive nose opens immediately on crisp notes of citrus fruit, orange zest and bread. As it breathes, the expression gains depth with the arrival of floral fragrances, herbal tea and dried fruits against a mineral background. The overall impression is particularly delicious, original and its minerality comes to the fore after a few minutes in the glass.
PALATE : A somewhat lively taste that soon gives way to a dense and perfectly-structured mouth. As it warms, the dynamic and effervescent impression is very finely balanced by great vinosity. The result is a silky, delicate texture, developed yet light. A very long finish offering aromas of warm spices and biscuit against a mineral backdrop. The Cuvée du Chapitre proclaims loud and clear all the values of the Meunier grape with its warm, complex and accomplished expression giving an impression of harmony and purity.

Pairing Suggestions :
The Cuvée du Chapitre is a gastronomic Champagne that pairs well with seafood and the noblest of meats with textures that are taut yet tender. It is also an ideal companion for a delicate, creamy sauce embellished with morel or chanterelle mushrooms or seasoned with warm spices such as Colombo, curry or saffron. Mature cheeses also make excellent partners.
